Iolanthe
Aberdeen Gilbert and Sullivan Society presents the story of the fairy Iolanthe, who committed the capital offence of marrying a mortal and was banished for life from the fairy kingdom. Her pardon and return to favour 25 years later, sets off a chain of events that requires some fine fairy magic to resolve. The tale is set in the “Age of Aquarius” and features; feisty fairies, ever present political posturing from the pompous Peers and plenty of shenanigans along the way.
