Fred Dinenage's Ronnie, Reggie & Me
The definitive insight into the real lives of Britain’s most notorious gangsters.
For decades, they ruled the London underworld with fear and violence. But in 1969, the reign of Ronnie Kray and Reggie Kray came crashing down when both were sentenced to life imprisonment at the Old Bailey.
Reggie would spend years behind bars in some of Britain’s toughest prisons, while Ronnie was confined to Broadmoor, his mental illness controlled only by heavy medication.
Chosen by the twins themselves to tell their official story, TV legend Fred Dinenage became one of the very few people ever granted access to their inner circle – gaining extraordinary insight into the real lives behind the headlines.
Now appearing live on stage, Fred Dinenage shares untold stories and rare moments never revealed before – including recordings made during his visits to Ronnie at Broadmoor. Hosted by broadcaster Alex Dyke, this gripping show brings you closer than ever to two of the most feared figures in criminal history – men other journalists could never get near.
Hear first-hand what it was like to step inside Britain’s most formidable institutions, and uncover the gritty reality of gangland life in 1960s London – told by the only man they trusted.
