'Set In Silver' Exhibition of early photographs by the Aberdeen photographer and one of the founding directors of the Tivoli Theatre, George Washington Wilson, will be running from Wednesday 11th until Sunday 15th of September in the Tivoli Theatre Gallery as part of the 50+ Festival. The photographs - on loan from the University of Aberdeen's Library and Special Collections - depict Aberdeen life from the 1870s through to the 1940s. There will also be some photographs by the Aberdeen Harbour Board of the same period, giving a unique insight into the maritime workings of Aberdeen at the turn of the last century, as well as the exhibiting of vintage camera equipment.
Open from 10am-4pm. Please contact the Tivoli Theatre Company for further information on 01224 592 755. Further events are scheduled for the 50+ Festival - for further information on these and to enquire about tickets please call Aberdeen Box Office on 01224 641 122.
